A feast of colour & pattern

This is a favourite blog I came across a while ago
the owner of the blog Elena Nuez has a wonderful eye
for colour, form, pattern as you will see from her photography.
Her site is filled with the beautiful images she takes
and the items she creates, which are for sale in her etsy shop here

A knight in shining armour . . .

Stunning images by Belgium photographer Viona.
she makes the costumes, finds stunning locations,
sets the scenes & takes the photographs.
Sometimes even appearing in them herself.

Moon gazing . . .

"moon games"
a wonderous set of images from someone who
seems to have grasped the magic of the moon
amateur astronomer now a photographer
His new book, Quartier libre,
has a collection of 19 moon pictures
and for each a calligram, written by different authors.

He is also a part of the team associated with this lovely The world at night
full of links to more wonderful night sky images.

A story of love & memory . . .

A truly stunning collective work.
It began life as a story but grew into so much more, a story of love & memory,
inspiring photographs and film.  It is the lifelong workings of Gregory Colbert.

Written in the form of letters the tale takes the form of a book of 74 letters, written from a man to his wife of his expeditions to such places as  India, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tonga, and Namibia.
Blank pages in the book represent letters that were blown from the window or lost in transit.

I am hoping one day that the travelling exhibition "The Nomadic Museum",
will perhaps make its way to our country, for it would be a dream to see it.
thank you to Jackie Morris for sharing this link.
