A heart moving faerietale, the first story by Eowyn Ivey

 Set in deepest Alaska in 1920, it was inspired by a Russian fairy tale 

  about a child made from snow - snegurochka - who later comes to life.

" . . .a couple creates a child out of snow. 

When she appears on their doorstep as a little girl, wild and secretive

their lives are changed forever."
