Sounds of the sea driftwood chimes . . .

As we walk the shorelines along balmy seas or stormy waves
we keep a wary eye open for treasures thrown up from the deep.
I collect these offerings take them home to my studio
"Shades of the sea " are the creations I make from my findings.
Driftwood & shell chimes with delicate coloured ribbons

As the breeze catches a chime you can hear a delicate noise
the song of the shells, bringing thoughts of the wonderful ocean to mind
and as the mobile moves, its individual pieces shift & change about,
forming mesmerising sculptural shapes.

You can find my driftwood chimes for sale here & here
or read about my beach combing adventures, treasures found
and other seaside loveliness here

Celtic Blessing Tree give-away . . .

As promised a give-away  as a thank you to all my lovely followers.
I have here sat in my studio an A4 print of my newest creation
"Celtic Blessing Tree"  to give to some lovely reader.
You can read more about the give-away on my personal blog
 "5 Precious things"
* * *
Written around the tree is the Celtic Irish blessing "Deep Peace"
So, to enter I thought it would be lovely to hear
your thoughts on what brings you "Peace". . . .

For me is is being out in Mother nature,
walking in quiet woods, listening to the song of birds or
standing on a sandy shore, the tang of the sea on my tongue.

To enter please leave your "Deep Peace" thoughts below.
Open for comments until Saturday 31st March midnight.
( a special date for me as it was the day Mr O & I 1st met).
I do ask that you be either a follower of this blog,
my personal blog 5 Precious things or
my Ruthie Redden Artworks Facebook page to take part.

I so look forward to hearing what brings you Peace . . .
and thought it might be lovely to compile some of them
in a later post -  if you dont mind that is ;-)

I am a pictorial storyteller,
my paintings are woven with myth & magic.
Pieces of Scottish & Celtic folklore
sayings, songs & superstitions
find their way into my work.
Through the every changing seasons of the year,
& Mother Nature i find my inspirations.

I will be selling original art work, prints , cards
& from time to time, my one-of-a kind
tiny animals sculptures, hand stitched bits & bobs
& other lovelies i am stirred to make.

Each print & artwork comes with a gift,
a handmade tiny book
filled with relevant snippets of folklore,
& scatterings of my other works.
If a print or art work is bought as a gift
a personal message can be added to the booklet.

Please do pop by my shop & let me know what you think.
