I just told my husband a week ago that we should plant some gourds (after going to an inspiring place in Big Sur which I will blog about soon) and now you have REALLY made this project a done deal...is it too late in the season to plant???? These are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing Ruthie!
Well... I couldn't wait. I bought some beautiful gourds at the pumpkin patch. The planting will have to wait until next year! I'll keep you posted too : )
Penny, you must let me know how you get on with them! I remember my Grandmother used to grow them many moonsa ago & dried them afterwards, they were wonderful to draw too.

Oh how I remember all that scraping and gouging out the inside of pumpkins aggh! However it was all worth it in the end.
